1954   Born April 12th in St. Louis, Missouri.
  1959   Begins piano lessons at age five.
  1961   Moves to West Berlin, Germany.
  1963   Meets President John F. Kennedy as a Cub Scout; continues piano studies.
  1964   Moves to Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. Composes first piano pieces at age ten at the encouragement of his father.
  1966   Moves to St. Louis, Missouri (while his father is stationed in Saigon); continues piano studies.
  1968   Moves back to Berlin. Wins Steinway Piano Competition at age fourteen. [article; program]
  1969   Moves to Washington, D.C.; plays piano for D.C. Youth Orchestra.
  1969   D.C. Youth Orchestra performs at the White House.
  1971   Attends Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J. Studies composition with music teacher Nevett Bartow.
  1972   Enters New England Conservatory of Music; majors in Composition.

  1981-83    Attends University of Massachusetts, Lowell; majors in Choral Conducting.
  1982   Starts playing Jazz at Ken's By George in Copley Square.
  1984-1990   Performs jazz at the Westin Hotel.
  1990-1993   Performs jazz at the Meridien Hotel in downtown Boston.
  1983-2003   Teaches music in Brookline.
  1989-2003   Conducts the New England Conservatory Youth Chorale (tours Germany, France, Italy, England, White House).
  2003   Resigns from teaching; plays Gospel music at Southern Baptist Church in Roxbury.
  2006-2009   Attends Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
  2009   Receives Doctorate in Ministry degree.
  2007 to present:   Minister of Music at Tremont Temple Baptist Church in downtown Boston;
    conducts the Chancel (classical) choir and the Gospel choir.
